When you are ready to book, please read the information below for instructions on how to do so.
There are usually twelve of these positions available per year. The paper-and-pencil part of the testing is done in a small group of about six, but all interviewing, report, and feedback are done individually.
Discounted sessions are booked on-line and all documentation must be accessed on-line.
Please can we ask you not to book multiple sessions to cover your bases, this limits availability for other learners wishing to book. Please only book for the one session you plan to attend.
ASSESSMENT DATES AND TIMES FOR DISCOUNTED SESSIONS.
The psychometric testing sessions are usually run on a Saturday, during school holidays or on a public holiday. They run from 09h00 until about 15h00. All assessment stationery will be provided. All cell phones need to be turned off during the assessment process. Light refreshments (tea, coffee, fruit juice) will be available. Please bring your own snacks.
The interview and feedback sessions are scheduled at mutually agreed upon times outside of school hours.
We assess grade 11 learners from June onwards.
It is very important that you print out all the documents related to the testing session.
You should receive a reminder email two weeks before your date of assessment. On receipt of your reminder, please confirm via return email or by phone or sms (078 150 7241) whether OR not you still want the appointment. If appointments are not confirmed the places will be offered to people on the waiting list.
Interview and Feedback Appointments are arranged at the testing sessions. The interview lasts about an hour and usually takes place between one and two weeks after the assessment. The feedback appointment also lasts about an hour and usually takes place within a few days of the test session. We would like at least one parent present if the feedback is for a learner.
Follow-Up half hours are arranged by contacting Lynn (078 150 7241 or email@example.com).
If the learner usually has extra time at school; has a reader / facilitator; or has ADD/ ADHD that is not medically controlled, or has a medical condition that needs to be individually accommodated, they would be advised not to attend the group discounted session where no adjustments can be made for e.g. giving extra time.
Should you wish to arrange testing at another time or under different circumstances, this can be arranged by contacting Lynn. Her email address is firstname.lastname@example.org and phone (078)1507241. The assessment process is the same. The cost for such an assessment is the standard rate of R 3000 (2019).
